Ultra-high Speed Analysis Apparatus for Welding Phenomena
Installation :
March 2002
Description :
The ultra-high speed analysis apparatus for welding phenomena is composed of the latest high-speed video camera with high sensitivity, a spectroscope, a laser backlight system, and so on. The high-speed video camera can shoot at the world's highest level of time resolution of up to 1 million frames per second, and the spectroscope can acquire highly accurate two-dimensional spectroscopic images. Taking advantage of these characteristics, it is used for experimental observation of electrode phenomenon, arc phenomenon, molten pool phenomenon, etc. of welding process which has a complicated spatial structure and changes drastically with time. In addition, the temperature field is calculated from the observed image by spectroscopic analysis, and the result is also provided to the users.
